One day they won’t feel like this…
Staring at the mirror
Smiling at myself
A teenage girl in pigtails
Lying to herself
Depression is a plague
Passed to her from another
And she knows when she’s alone
That pretty smiled will begin to falter
She has lost herself
in the grip of reality
So pressured to fit in
She’s lost all originality
High schools such a drag
She wishes it would end
All the two-faced bitches
Pretending to be your friends
And so she sits alone
With her fake smile and her tears
Listening to her headphones
That are screaming in her ears
Maybe one day she’ll grow up
The pain in her heart will mend
Maybe one day she’ll forget
How she wanted life to end
