About learning to accept yourself, even the unpleasant side.

Don’t smooth down my edges, my sharpness, my inabilities
Don’t gloss them over
Or scoot them aside.
To some remote corner
Where darkness hides them.

Then I’ll only be
Some image of who you really want
Some icon on a wall
Not magic only
Imaginary.

Forgetting
How to be
Exquisitely, entirely
Me

I just love this. And I’m with Christine. I, too, know the feeling. I think it’s one we all share at some point in our lives. You put it just beautifully, though.
