One thief on the cross found the significance of the man on his left before it was too late. The other died Christless. Which one can you identify with??
Will you meet the thief, the penitent,
Who received His forgiveness, and to Paradise went.
The one who sought mercy from God’s right hand,
And entered that day sweet Paradise Land?
Will you meet the thief who was sorry for sin,
Who accepted God’s offer and entered in?
The one who accepted the sacrifice,
And entered, that day, sweet Paradise.
Or will you meet the one who said, “Cast thyself down,”
Incuring the other malefactor’s frown.
The one on the left justly paid for his crime,
While the other repented just in time.
If you’d meet the thief who entered in,
You must be forgiven of your sin.
Yes, to meet the theif from the Saviour’s right side,
You must have His precious Blood applied.
So please take the Father’s forgiveness, do,
And have His Blood applied to you.
Or if you would go where the other doth dwell.
You’ll be forever in the flames of hell!
