Remembrance…

I sit here drifting
My thoughts wandering
Floating onto you

Memories of us
Lingering within
Consuming me whole

I am swept away
As waves come crashing
The tide rolling in

Past voices call me
Echoing my pain
My spirit haunted

Your essence remains
A faithful presence
Overwhelming me

You burn eternal
Holding me captive
My heart held steady

My soul grieves for you
Like washed away sand
From a lover’s hand

Castles made of grain
Come crumbling down
Love reverberates

Wet footprints impress
Upon my psyche
Never forgetting

Neglected vision
This sad life pining
Shadow evermore

Very easy poem to read. Memories are like that. Difficult to put away…easy to dredge up when circumstances are right.

so simple yet so sweet. Indeed, certain memories specially happy ones are somewhat stack in our minds and hearts for a long time.

Alright hopelessly romantic. Just remember that in love one has to save a little part of oneself which no one can have, not even one\’s lover. Love is like a pyramid, but you save the tip of it for only yourself. If one loves too much then depression becomes possible.
