Poem concerning the passing of sadness and depression.

The peacock boasts a proud display

adorned in bright and colorful array

Sunlight dances in freedom’s sky

melancholy passing by

Yesterday warms by contentment’s fire

while replacing rage with hope and desire

Fond memories romp and play

melancholy passes away

The living are pleased

all needs appeased

A gentle and auspicious sign

escapes a cloudless sky no longer trapped in time

Peace descends upon dismay

negative spirits move away

Triumphantly casting hope everlasting

melancholy passing

Hi – I loved your poem – one of those that I can “hear” being read out loud – do you ever have poetry evenings?
