Memorial day reminds people of the wars
It tells people we are free
It helps people remember our struggles
Our pain and heart ache.

Memorial day is a chance to remember
A chance to honor those who are not here
And a chance for us to be happy and sad
A chance to be with family and friends.

But now there are members missing
There are friends not with us
They’re over fighting a war for us
They’re in our hearts and in our prayers.

We love them all and wish for their safety
We miss them and wish they were here
We all have someone over seas that we miss.
