A poem on the memories of school.

Gone are the Days that I yearn to have back,

The teachers with white chalk

writing on black.

The uniformed children,

in soft greys and white,

longing for the days

when they could get out.

The white peeling dry wall,

the black pleated skirts,

the spam sandwich lunches,

the white and grey shirts.

But those days have left me,

Now I long to have back,

for the lessons and teachers,

In all their shades of Black

I can really relate to this poem. I always wish on bad days at school that I can just be in the 3rd grade again. Nicely written.
