A boy and girl find their shyness too big an obstacle to overcome.

I remember as if it was now…
Me and she, sitting together
The weather, our parent’s jobs, and other smalltalk drifts between us
She looks like she wants to actually say something.
I know I do.
But there are hundreds of reasons not to, and only one
Why I should, but that reason…

Just us holding hands sitting in a pub garden
Though I never saw it, I’ll never forget it

But I don’t care for failure.
If I don’t ask her, she can’t say no.
I say her hair is nice- she says mine is too.
We look hopeful… But nothing happens.
We only needed a sentence…
