To all of our friends, present and future, my family and I wish you all the best during this wonderful Christmas season, and in the year to come! God bless you all! Although not a poet, I composed this poem as an “Open Christmas Card” to all of you here at Triond, in California, in Nebraska, and Elsewhere! May Peace and Love reign in your homes.

Christmas Day is nearing fast!
The lists have all been made
of what to buy for whom, and who
will get a gift home-made.
Noodleman wants a catnip ball
that he can roll around.
And SpiceGirl wants some dangling strings
that almost touch the ground!
Snow has covered our front steps
so rock salt would be nice.
New tires for the truck would, too,
help stop slides on the ice!
But money only goes so far
so we will just ‘make do’.
A turkey, dressing, and some pies
will help preserve the mood!
We may not have a tree this year
but Love lives in this home.
And Love is worth a thousand lights
because it sets the tone!
So to our friends and family
we wish you all good cheer.
May your home be as rich as ours
for all the coming years!

Thank you all for your kind words. My husband says this is “a girly foo foo” writing…but he’s been willing to listen to it TWICE! Ha ha.
