I have a message to deliver, from the people, to those in power.

A message to all the parties with their smarty farties,

A message to the government,

All members of parliament,

A message to the leader, he the prime minister;

The message to deliver, to dispense,

My message to the government: The people want their power back.

Respect for us is what you lack and it’s a fact.

Oh the people want their power back,

Their freedom, their say and their vote!

Now people have said and I quote;

“You’re out of your head, you’re crazy”

And just maybe, they’re right, how do I fight,

How do I take on the authority for equality, especially if I’m on my own?

Well I will do, someone needs to or else we’d just continue to moan!

And I know we all want to be treated fair and equally,

Because after all that’s how it’s meant to be!

But the government, members of parliament;

Have been taking us for fools and breaking all the rules!

They’ve been abusing there power to shower themselves with luxury.

Does it sicken you, because it sickens me?

And I say; do away, with this A.C.A.

For it’s a nuisance an annoyance, this additional costs allowance.

Be rid of this; John Lewis List and any list of the sort,

For there’s a lot more that’s vital and could be bought.

It should be divided, shared out between our most needed.

Our most respected health care, education, emergency services and armed forces.

Oh and just think of all the people you could please, if you helped fund more charities.

I write poems and stories, based on the worries and glories.

I write because it’s my way of letting it out, so I have no need hit out.

All my work has a meaning and a message.

You’ll either get it or you won’t.  You either accept it or you don’t. 

It’s how I get my feelings, thoughts & ideas known.

I’ve learnt a lot in life throughout the years I’ve grown.

Like for one let not your flaws or fears be shown.

So back to the matter, the message in hand,

It’s united we’ll stand to take back our land.

And together we’ll demand.

I write what I feel and hide, deep down inside.

And the people’s glory will not be denied,

We will not be defied.

You will subside.
