Another Collection of Colonel Jack’s Microfiction; Stories in 160 Characters or less.
I suddenly wake, frightened and shaking. Monsters have chased me from my rest, but you reach over to comfort me. I lay back, fears fading. You are my refuge.
I sit in a 7 by 15 foot room with a much too low ceiling, wishing that I was with you thousands of miles away starting the next chapter in our story. Waiting.
I miss the sound of your voice. Your laugh when you’re happy. The way you growl when I annoy. I miss that look when you’re up to mischief. Get well…
You give of yourself so others can live their dreams, & stand in the shadows not to block their spotlite. You love w/o reservation or regret. You are BEAUTIFUL.
