A classically structured poem about the murder of a lover.

A midnight massacre, at my maiden’s bedside.

In tinted cherry light, forth a crack between a door

comes brushing blushing rays on her arctic face,

the flickers of patterns of lace, cascade as shadows

fading indigo nonsense, on blood splat shams,

the lifeless corpse of my madam.
