This poem was published a couple of years ago in "Reverence of Rune" from Word Weavers.
Night falls and the stars shine
one what was once my heart.
I awaken from my endless dreaming.
Reality eludes me now,
the moon watching from above.
I weep tonight in mourning,
wishing to be loved.
O’ midnight rose, where are you now?
We’ll meet one day I swear.
O’ midnight rose, if only you knew,
how much I truely care.
In darkness, music plays for us,
destined sweet and true.
Though I cannot see your face of yet,
I’ll dance the whole night through.
The Gods pause in their song and dance
to gaze down upon those
who dare to give this love a chance
myself and my midnight rose.
