Feet were made for walking, but they can’t do it without the mind coordinating the muscles and balance. We need to think before we walk in order to walk right. We are in control of our life’s choices, the paths we take, the road we travel. It’s mind over matter so – Mind your feet!

Minding My Feet

My feet have trod in places

Where they should not have gone

And tagged along amid the crowd

When they should have strode alone.

Whenever my life’s road was split

My mind and feet did fight

My mind knew that left was wrong

Still these feet veered away from right

Oh why do my feet always

The good in my heart betray

Why can’t I ever trust them

Not to lead my flesh astray

The simple answer lies within me

My will is to blame, now I understand

These feet of mine never took one step

Without heeding to my mind’s command

Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed this poem. Remember, when there’s a fork in the road, we have to make a choice which path to take. When we make a wrong turn, we have the power to get back on track. Our minds have the power to help control and coordinate our walk through this life.     – Lynn Hollis -

A fantastic poem, so true as well, often when at folk in road of life, we know the right path to take but still take the left. Thanks for sharing

I liked the last two lines. Bring every thought into submission. Great share.
