Poem: Looking from another perspective.

Who is this young woman who stands before me

who looks lost and confused

she looked so familiar

it was almost as if she was my long lost twin

As I looked deep into her eyes

I could see the pain

The Suffering

The strongholds that were lingering in her inner soul

Who is this girl and why does she look so unhappy

I wish I could just give her a big hug and let her know

that everything is going to be okay

I wanted to reach out to her so badly, but it was like there was

and invisible wall that was stopping us from connecting

It was clear to me that I did not know who she was or were

she has com from

but the curiosity that I was feeling in my blood

allowed me to believe that I could understand her emotion of emptiness and her desire to be loved and supported

She didn’t say much, in fact she didn’t say anything at all

Her actions made more conversation than her lips

I was lost for words, but I only did what I thought was best

I put my right hand on the glass to give her comfort and to let her know that I am here for her

Still nothing

Not even a budge nor smile

It was evident that this young lady was guarded with her emotions

I didn’t want to start any commotion

I just wanted to gain her trust

I just wanted to let her know that everything is going to be okay

I just wanted to let her know the goodness of the LORD

I just wanted to tell her that God gives unconditional Love

I just wanted to tell her that she is forgiven

I just wanted to tell her that if God can deliver me he can deliver

her, too

I gazed into her eyes once more to see if there was anything else that was causing her so much pain

before I knew it she had disappeared right before me and there

was nothing left but the reflection of myself

I stood there for a second and smile with excitement to see the

new me

Thank you Lord for renewing my mind, body and spirit

I now have a clear vision of who I am, were I came from

and were I am going
