What I see in the mirror.

The image in the mirror.

is a portrait of me.

I twist and maneuver

my entire body.

My hand applies delicate

strokes of make-up

The frame of my body is portrayed

as an elongated profile.

I tilt my head slightly,

like an innocent child

My mirror doesn’t display,

the way I looked in the past

It gave me a view, of the person

I want to be at last.

Nice sentiment. That’s what maturity does for you, see yourself as you
are. Glad you liked what you saw.

Lovely work. I prefer not to look in a mirror these days.

Great work! For years I didn’t like the person looking back at me. Now I’ve broken free of what everybody told me I should be and I’m happy just to be me.
