Poem.
I have cast out a word
It flew through the air
But it fell down to Earth
And I know not where
Though “Hark!” my word
‘Twas a beautiful phrase
Now where on Earth
I know not where it lays
Tis a pity it was lost
Upon the dead Earth
For such a beautiful word
Could incite much mirth
Though now I do think
That for such a pure word
Tis a much greater evil
For it even to be heard
So know I repeat
My sorrowful tale
Of a word never heard
For it was lost in a gale
And I have license to preach
Never let a word be lost
For language is beautiful
And words carry great cost
And so, with the losing of the word
All meaning was dropped
