An ode to "The Badge" posted by

everything seems to be caving in

i try to remain positive but to my chagrin

the unexpected and untimely happens again

bombarded by thoughts, unwanted anger caught

whirlwind of disappointments constant onslaught

seeking solace for my mind cant find naught

dreams, aspirations back up like a septic tank

outlook, vision, sourly dank

it stank

i drank from that cup of gall

staying anchored in my call

yet seemingly set up to fall

still i must hope, cope and elope

to a palace of blissful scope

reaching. tugging. pulling up on the rope

my time to rise through the tears of my eyes

i still see that prize and clearly realize

darkness smothers me, gushing well inside

full of newness and humble pride

i know i’m not alone on this ride

it’s time for my platform and confusion subside

There is always hope. Love hopes all things, no matter what memories or guilt one is saddled with as long as they are breathing they can strive to do better. None of us are perfect and all of us, especially me, are plagued by memories, actions we would like to forget. I love the way you expressed you feelings and do want you to know you are not alone. 2 Cor. 1:3

This fits perfectly with the info I just emailed you and my last article. The last line says it all for me.
The devil hates for us to get on Gods platform but thank God confusion has subsided. The devil is a liar and we are victories

What could I add that my friend Adrian hasn’t so eloquently penned already?

We are in this together bro. We poets and folk who think and feel too much, too often, and too wit.

P.S., thanks for the nod at the beginning my erstwhile friend.
