This one is hard to explain. It about sins, my sins to be exact. Read, think, enjoy.

I repent within my sin

I burn the earth
Within sacred scrolls
To make my high closer to god
Forgive me lord
But your word leaves me hazy
I return ash
While slowly turning to dust

I lust for Mary
And her earthly delights
No intention to wait for my wanting
I con the flower that’s not mine to take
Then handing her to Adam
As a bitten apple
Used and rotting

I lie to my brother
Calling him God
Knowing he is Son
Father made low
Because you weren’t there
Even though you gave me life
Jehovah or Jesus I’ve forgotten your name

Forgive me
As I repent within my sin

Forbidden fruit..the tree of knowledge (good and evil)..sins of the flesh..shame..seeking forgiveness..the overall structure of your poem is good..your title and theme..a nice correlation..the 3rd stanza, for me, was hard to take in but other than that this was admirable :-)

    Utter crap!

And when thought(Adam) merged with imagination (Eve) then the mind and reasoning could no longer see the universe as it really is, but the mist of mysticism covered the land.
