The following poem touches upon the insecurities we all feel that often keep us from finding happiness in love.
Though my words be overdue
I do hope you’ll hear them still
Three years since I’ve seen your face
‘Twas in passing
Yet my heart did race
Said you’d wished I’d have kept our “date”
Seeing you again I did too
But I was too scared to back then
My mind being no match for your scholarly one
And given a second chance to dine
I’d have no choice but to indefinitely defer
Despite time having passed
I’m still at a loss at how to romance you
But please don’t take offense
Or doubt my feelings a single one
On the wind I’ll scream your name
Followed by the above words of love
