Had just watched two bank robbing movies, Set it Off, and Point Break. (I know it’s old; but a classic!) When all of a sudden these words started creeping into my head…
Thieves
They are many
All in differing guise
One thing identifies them
Their modus operandi
Street thug jacks you up
for the contents of your wallet
White collar… Embezzler
Appears clean, but isn’t
Bank robber, carjacker
Jewel thief, cat-burglar
Even your “friend”
Who snags change
from your car
From minor to major
Transgression
Evangelistic soul stealer
Guarantees salvation
For your contributions
Then theres one
So much more insididous
Enters our lives
Benignly at first
Seemingly harmless
We allow them in
Becoming fixtures
Ensconced forever
Then they steal away
With our hearts
