She gave me life thirty six years ago
And I know there are times that I make her worry so.

She has seen a lot in her days
And as a result is set in her ways.

Alot of grief and sadness
Balanced out with smiles and happiness.

This woman is and always has been very strong
And had no problem correcting me when I was wrong.

She always does what she believes is right
And for her family will always fight.

On my mother I can always rely
Even when we don’t see eye to eye.

With her I share both good and bad news
As well as asking for her point of view.

I may not always like what she has to say
But I am grateful for her every day.

I admire this woman that I call “MOM”
And now I know where my strength comes from.

I hope she realizes her importance to me
And that she is the glue of our family.

Sometimes, I feel I don’t tell her enough
For her I carry a great deal of respect and love.

So this tribute goes out from the bottom of my heart
I can’t imagine my life without her as a part.
