Verse about instances around the Globe.

In Madrid a girls stares from her window,

“Where’s my boyfriend?” sighs she,

A child in Sydney,

Throws his toy at a window,

Another stick placed on a fire in Taree.

“Sweep, sweep, sweep,” the swish of a switch broom in Borneo,

“Smack!” mosquito swatted in Toronto.

Commuters disgorge from a Cuban carriage,

As a light turns red in China.

A mother weeps into her hands,

For news of her son’s death in battle.

Two lovers intermingle in Brussels,

As a postman mails a letter in Mantego.

Another day dawns in Los Angeles,

As a boy fights his friend in Calabria,

When the click of the time-clock sounds in Toledo,

A china plate smashes in Namibia.

A moment in time across nations,

A synchronous dance of tomorrow,

As the stars start to twinkle in Kansas,

Each moment as precious as sorrow.

And a pair of motorbike thieves are lynched in Kampala, their lifeless bodies lie by the road side to the curious view of onlookers.

The skies roar with thunder over the lake Victoria basin as bombs and rockets light up the skies over Benghazi…..a beautiful and poignant work of poetry here buddy!
