Part one…
A guy I let go of tried to kiss me again after tearing my heart out the first time. His name is Jake, and I learned the hard way to not go back and give second chances to deceivers. I have had three deceivers: Fire, Earth, and Air. All having their different stories. This is the tale of Air.
I tell myself this:
No matter how the sun shines,
I know I must break this bind
before I let you hurt me again.
I know you don’t care;
I know you’ll never care.
Even through your sun-kissed hair,
and how I appear in your eyes,
that muddled green glare
will always be there.
You were something to me
but you lost my love,
and I know you live to deceive,
so now I wish to leave.
Let me leave;
Let me dream;
Let me BELIEVE;
Let me alone
Let me BE!
So to you, my deceiver of air,
trapped in your wasted world,
you will get nothing more from me.
Let me be reminded of that evil stare,
your wicked glare,
the lies you share,
and the burden you bare.
I wish not to be wrapped around
your finger tips.
I denied you your kiss you see.
Darling, darling, don’t you see?
I wish to never again taste
the acid of your breath,
nor do I wish to feel thine lips
pressed against my own.
But alas, I lie to myself,
in order for my protection,
for my time is short,
my emotions mean little,
and the happenings of my past
aren’t worth the mention.
