I just love this time of year.

The sun shines freely through the trees

Which bow and sway in the gentle breeze.

And in the shadows that are thrown

The first early seeds of Spring are sown.

Buds burst forth on branches high,

While birds returning home fly by,

And up above the sky so blue

Brings warmth to blooms of every hue.

In the distance in meadows green

Frolicking lambs can now be seen.

A foal trots by its mother’s side

Taking new sights in its stride.

A tiny butterfly flits through the air

Dancing lightly and with such flair.

All these scenes fill hearts with joy

Which nothing in this moment can destroy.

    Hello Christine,
I envy you having spring in your place, as of now we are experiencing heat, super heat this time of the year. Just imagine last May 10, our national election day, we line up for so long and after voting, I can squeeze my shirt with the most droplets of perspiration I’ve got.

But even I drop down down on this page as i see comments as I pass by, I feel joy. I feel joy reading your wonderful poems.

CR…my goodness the length of the comenters is a true testiment to thecalibre of writer you are and the intense, loyal following you have accumulated. I was getting worried, thinking that it might be summer before I would get an opportunioty to comment on your pure joys of spring…what a tremendous write and read allowing me to travel back in time to times when we had frolicking lambs and big gardens and the many other welcome things that marked Moments of Pure Joy…and reading this poem was just another such moment…I like it a bunch…thank you for such a tremendous testimony to Spring…
