Thoughts on my friend and lover.
Moments:
I was sitting alone reading one of my favorite funny books
In my favorite laid back chair jus quitely enjoying myself
In the living when she walks in
Or less storms in through the front door.
I put my book aside for the moment.
She throws her bag on the crunch and starts
Talking about in detail about her day
She goes in to the kitchen still talking to me
Then comes out with a sandwich and bottle water still I say nothing.
She gives me the sandwich and
I make room for her on the chair
As she sits on my lap and
Leans back putting her head on my right shoulder and
Continues the story of her day.
I put the sandwich a side the same as the book and
Listen.
All the while
I am hugging her close and breathing in her scent.
Ever so slowly she relaxes the tension in her shoulders
And relaxes a little
As she talks heatedly now on and on about her day.
When she looks at me to see if
I’m listening to her
I give her my nods and
Oh yeah’s and tell her to go on
Where she last left off in her story and
She does go on until
She finally has fallen alseep in my arms
An hour and half later.
Kissing her four head
I smile pick up my book and continue to read
Where I last left off.
