I wrote this poem for my youngest son who has an overwhelming obsession with monkey’s.

Monkey’s swing from tree to tree,
above the forest floor they are totally free.
From branch to branch, and limb to limb,
monkey’s swing and sway, whenever they get the whim.
Monkey’s bounce from treetop to treetop
always on the go they never seem to stop.
In times of danger and in times of play,
they make sure that nothing, and no one, gets in their way.
Monkey’s can be the wildest of animals,
or the tamest of creatures.
They can have the cutest of faces
or the strangest of features.
Although untamed and very wild
monkey’s can put a smile on the face of every child.
