Alone and afraid.

What is that bumping against the wall?

Suddenly I’m feeling very afraid.

I’m trapped here in my bedroom,

defenseless and extremely frightened.

I grab the flashlight off my nightstand,

hoping that I am only being paranoid.

I hear a low and angry growl,

as an awful stench fills the room.

My light’s beam suddenly goes out,

leaving me trembling in total darkness.

The monsters are coming after me.

I have no chance of escaping now.

i keep one of those touch sensor lights plugged into my floor wall socket on the floor panels so whenever it’s dark and when i go to sleep there is always light. i also feel the same about the darkness. a really atmospheric poem and scary too!
