Dedicated to the greatet gift that god has ever given me ,my little maddy girl.

Image via Wikipedia

She smiles at me,my little girl, and i fight back a grin.

she throws food all over the floor ,and  wasting foods a sin.

But shes just one ,and this im sure ,my wife and I debate.

It’s just her way , as best she can,of trying to communicate.

I must admit ,this strong will child, with dimples on her cheeks.

Says funny things, when she is mad, and tells me when she speaks.

She says MORE, instead of THANKS,and then she’ll say , I’M DONE.

As I bend over to clean up her mess ,off she goes for fun.

She laughs and laughs, and loves her bears, she hugs them every day.

Then she hugs me, with all her might ,I dont know what to say.

Two years ago this little girl ,was only in my dreams.

And now she’s flesh and blood and soul ,and full of love it seems.

furry stuff creatures, always loved ,and this love they get from maddy,

seems to extend beyond her toys ,I think she loves her daddy.

That is why when food is flying,

I get a little grin,

my heart is open to my Maddy,

and im so glad, I let her in.

I love it, David. It reminds me of my own little girl whom also happens to be named Maddy. ;) They are truly infinite sources of joy, aren’t they? Even when she is tearing stuff up and throwing her food on the floor, she looks up at me with that grin you were talking about and my heart melts.

AWWWW that is beautiful, I can relate to the feeling David. As you know, I don’t have children of my own, but I do have whole bunch of nephews and nieces that make my heart swell up with emotion.
