MORNING WATCH

As I watch the morning come to life

spreading out its dawning light

I thank God for this new day

and ask that He will guide my way

as I take in the wonders He displays

as He brings forth morning’s beauty,

His wondrous creativity…

The sights, the sounds, all my delight

that had been hidden by the night.

Oh how earth sparkles now with dew

as morning light comes shining through

and how sweetly the birds all sing;

how precious are morning’s blessings

though this world may oft seem dark and cold.

As morning’s dawning light unfolds

I take in the wonders God displays

and thank Him for another day,

realize again in each sunrise…

in God is found all hope and life.

Even in winter’s icy pall,

and though waters rise and rain may fall

or earth may become parched and dry

on God I always can rely.

He walks with me, always near

day by day and year by year

and as I watch the morning light

I know again that God is life

and it’s through Him our blessings pour

and He provides our every need…

Our God is very good indeed.

as He watches over you and me;

As I watch the morning light I see.
