A poem for mothers.

Morsel of Light

By Edgar Parra

Morsel of light,

Pebble of day,

Projecting thy warmth,

In the form of a ray.

The gift of thy aura,

A sparkling glimmer,

Of something so great,

Appearing to simmer.

Without a gripe,

Sacrificing existence,

Slowly diluted,

Ceasing resistance.

Drenching the sky,

Illuminating so bright,

Dispersing yourself,

In the essence of flight.

Injecting the night,

The darkness thy slay,

With your awakening,

The birth of a day.

Rising or falling,

The heavens they blush,

With many a tint,

An emotional rush.

For this be the mother,

Of so many days,

The giver of life,

To innumerable rays.
