Comes the day when we all must pass.

Ray swept horizon gleams in the new days sun,

Landscape revealed as the shadows are undone.

Changes wrought by the wind and the rain,

Cavalcade together in an endless chain.

Rocks crumble to dust as the seasons change,

New grasses spring up, upon the wide open range.

Obscure beginnings for a fruitful start,

Set adrift by the wings of time and torn apart.

Replenished anew with each cycle of time,

Bringing new wonders with each tolling chime.

Eons of past glories all trampled in the dust,

Metals forged, lie in ruin, as they rust.

Man’s fleeting moments go unaccounted,

Lost in the sea of time as ages are mounted.

On and on the wheels turn present into past,

As everything becomes old and dies at last.
