A poem about how right moms really are and about how they look out for you.

We fought a lot.

You always said no, and I always thought I could.

You always crushed my dreams, and broke my heart,

I always hurt you by going behind your back.

Today, I realize just how right you were.

How petty my dreams were, and how easily broken my heart was.

I realize just how much I couldn’t do the things you said no to

And just how much you loved me.

Mom, today I thank you, and I appreciate all the times you grounded me.

All the times you told me I was wrong, even if I didn’t want to hear it.

I respect you more than I ever have in my life, and I feel closer to you than ever before.

I love you.  Thank you so much!
