The Winter hasn’t really been a bad one except for a few or so bad days it seems.Well,Mother Nature let us know who was in control and took matters into her own hands. We all know what she did to us recently and we are still digging out.I was up the whole night of the storm and just wrote to stay awake-this is one of them good or bad.

It was a storm the likes we have never seen before,
the storm kicked up its heels on a cold February night.
It was as if Mother Nature was unleashing all her fury,
reminding us who was the real mistress of the weather.

In a matter of several hours nature vented all of her fury,
a foot and over of fresh snow fell upon our waiting earth.
Each falling snowflake unlike the others that had fallen,
but working all together they all created a powerful force.

Strong winds blew the new falling snow in every direction,
the snow so thick at times it resembled pea soup instead.
Business and schools alike was all forced to close its doors,
airlines canceled some of it flights and a highway !-74 closed.

It was a madhouse going to the store for your food and milk,
the consumer grabbing what it took to ride the bad storm out.
As the heavy snow steadily fell and the snow drifts got higher,
the weather stations told everyone to stay home and not go out.

But there was one thing that amazed me above all I have to say,
something I never knew existed until it happened in our blizzard.
Thunder and lightening made its presence well known that night,
All I could do is watch in amazement at the unusual thunder snow.

All through the long dark night I watched the storm causing havoc,
visibility for the salt trucks and cars wasn’t very good on this night.
Mother Nature showed us her worst side and it wasn’t very pretty,
the regal lady will be all smiles when her natures fury is finally done.

This will be a storm that we will well remember taking days to dig out,
making it in the history books as the most severe storm so far this year.
We were all glad when Mother Nature finally cooled her famous temper,
giving us mortals a chance to dig everything out and make repairs if needed.

But if by a very rare chance you happen to see Mother Nature somewhere,
tell her for all of us that we don’t need another storm of this magnitude.
We all got enough snow, ice, sleet, and cold weather to last us a lifetime,
Mother Nature can wait another century or two to vent her fury once again.
