My mother’s love is the greatest.

Never in existence has there been a love as great as my mother’s
Nine months she carried me within, her mouth was my own and her womb my shelter
On the day of my delivery, she endured excruciating pain to birth me
With her milk she fed me, her hands she washed me and her heart she loved me
Never in existence has there been a woman as strong as my mother
Though her life was hard, she strived and survived with the world on her shoulders
Father, I hate you not but mothers anguish was partly your doing
You cheated, you lied, and you laid your hands on an angel
God forgive my father, for he knew not what he was doing
And mother you’re perfect, never will I endeavour to change you
Mother, I know I let you down on countless occasions
But yet you remain by my side with constant love and affection
And if you find your burden too much to withstand
Know I could never despise you, in fact I would understand
For the heartache, the pain and dismay I caused you over the years
My apologies could never suffice nor could my countless droplets of tears
You cared for me when I was young and still do when I’m older
So never in existence will there be a love greater than mine for my mother
In the singular beat of a heart, I would trade my life for yours
For in raising your kids, you willingly traded you life for ours
Although I find it hard to express my ineffable love for you,
With my being, my soul, from the bowel of my heart – Mother I love you
