A poem about what Mother’s Day is all about. Read it for yourself, and tell me what you think.
Mother’s Day
A very special day,
Held every second Sunday of May,
For all the mothers out there,
Who gave us love and care.
Oh, a mother,
Someone to us should matter,
A woman who’s been through a lot,
She did so much good to us than we thought.
Mothers deserve so much,
For what they have done to us,
Not enough is a single day,
For them to feel special in a way.
They carried us in their womb,
How heavy it was to carry around,
But they don’t really mind,
They’re glad to welcome a child.
Mothers are always there for us,
When we’re taking our first breath,
When we’re walking our first steps,
When we’re learning our first words.
They do household chores which their energy may drain,
Even though it’s tiresome,
They don’t complain,
But they do hope help would come.
Why not give them a helping hand?
Make them feel honored, and understand,
That what they deserve should be grand,
Our arms to theirs shall land.
Give them gifts,
Celebrate in our own special ways,
May it be simple, or a great fix?
Whatever that’ll be, may love and gratitude be there always.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mama!
