Poem/story about forbidden love, gently blow upon the amber’s,and they will start to glow, and so it is with love…..
He cuddled her in his arms,
whispered she’s a fine woman,
she warmed to his sweet charms,
coming from a gentle old man…..
Told her to go inside and rest,
needed to check on her horse and his dog,
tonight my bed is your nest,
and for the fire I’ll bring another log…..
In the semi darkness she laid,
her green eyes peering at the ceiling,
now and then they’d stray,
to where Kong was lying…..
It seemed like an eternity,
before he had come back inside,
wore one of his baggy shirts for a nightie
her body it would hide…..
Made his bed by the fire,
just like he did before,
though she was swelling with desire,
she felt patience was the law…..
The candle had long burned out,
only light was from the burning fire,
in the room it flickered about,
and with beaming eyes they retired…..

The sounds of the night still played,
so loud and clear,
it didn’t draw them any nearer,
as on separate beds they laid,
For the third time she called goodnight,
he echoed the same words back,
she gazed into the darkness,
and at the shadows from the firelight…..
Tried to keep still and sleep,
with pouting lips she’d puff into the air,
and when she moved the old bed would creak,
then she’d look at Kong lying there…..
She rolled over onto her side,
saw a moon beam shafting in,
through a small crack in the cabin,
she couldn’t help but grin…..
The last time she slept here,
she sobbed herself to sleep,
this time she has no fears,
found something she wants to keep…………….to be continued……………….
