Poem/story of forbidden love.

She knocked again on the door,
just weren’t no where else to go,
was glad the dog was tied up,
tried to peer through a dirty window…..
Heard footsteps from within,
saw movements from the grubby curtains,
someone was in the cabin,
of this she was certain…..
Knocked again and called hello,
asked for help had nowhere to go,
heard a voice say go away,
again saw the grubby curtains sway…..
Now she was starting to shiver,
as the rain was pelting down,
heard unlocking door bolt sounds,
felt fearful and started to shiver…..
Slowly the door half openned,
she’d never seen anything so gruesome,
she stood staring at a human disgrace,
with white eyes in a black face…..
She froze not from the cold and rain,
but what she saw in the doorway frame,
his body odor she could smell,
he looked like something from hell…..
His face was marked with a wide scar,
from his forehead to his nose and chin,
the worst she’d ever seen by far,
seem to fit in with the little cabin…..
He was tall unshaven dark and ugly,
his greying hair was long and stringy,,
had black coal eyes set deep in his brow,
made her whisper a low scary wow…..
She forgot about her condition and stared,
at his big flat flaring nose,
in a word she thought of a gorilla,
a description that would suit this fella…..
They both locked eyes,
she felt strange and paralysed,
between them was just silence,
or was it a look of defiance…..
they beamed into each others eyes,
she never blinked or withdrew,
they were reading each other through,
she could see this was no disguise…..
Its often said when one is dying,
their lives flashes before their eyes,
these two were not dying,
they were seeing whats inside……
No words were spoken as yet,
their eyes were doing the talking,
doing the listening and looking,
happen the instant their eyes met…..
He openned the door wider,
and slowly extended his hand,
gesturing for her to enter,
accepted the offer from the old man…..
She felt no dread at least,
she now felt calmness within,
even though he looked like a beast,
there was warmness in the little cabin………..to be continued……….
