This is about broken friendships and the attempt to keep them alive even after moving and physically separating from one another. The sad truth is people often grow apart.

This happiness shed and lost for others.
Ungratefulness is what I’ve come to receive.
Mistreated; unappreciated by another.
I try and try, but this rejection I can’t believe.
Altered locations with different faces,
Wanting to stay close to others I used to know.
If not kept alive, the friendship erases.
Then they go from companion to foe.
Using all forms of communication possible,
Yet they don’t seem to care.
Acting as if staying close would be impossible,
After all we’ve been through, how would they dare?
Not really sure how good of friends they were,
Guess they were never if I’m this unsure.
