Dedicated to my Aunty Pat.

Not just an artist, an illustrator you were,

Tall and refined, this was her;

Intricate detail, scenes to behold,

Lovingly painted, many were sold;

Talented and worldly, eclectic life,

Treasured family member, devoted wife;

Mr Lowry’s friend, known as his clown,

Smiley happy face, never let you down;

Teacher and comedian, both of these fit,

Indian ink in her painting kit;

Lover of animals, yet childless and free,

Sketching in the street and by the sea;

Touching many people, warm and kind,

Not just Lowry’s clown, much more you will find.
