Does everyone really want their "15 minutes of fame"? Some people do. Some don’t want it at all. But then there are those who just want to be noticed for who they really are and not be noticed for what others, who don’t even know them, say they are.

can you see me
writing these words
for you, for others to read
do you hear me
when I roar,
when I whisper,
even when I say nothing at all
here I am
waiting patiently
to be seen
to be heard
waiting here patiently
wanting to be noticed
for a few moments in time
even if it’s only my “15 minutes of fame”
that someone will know who I am
that someone will know me for me
that maybe, just maybe,
I will know me for who I really am
