This is a poem I wrote about my best friend.
We moved from Taiwan to the grand country of U.S.A.,
There we moved to Illinois and lived there for almost 2,000 days.
There I went to school to learn and was as busy as a bee,
I learned lots of stuff like counting 1 2 3.
We then moved to a rich neighborhood in Houston, Texas,
This is where lots of people were driving a Lexus
Car’s passed me by as did elementary school,
I was a student diving deep into a deep pool.
We then moved to Plano, Texas,
The school taught me stuff like the solar plexus.
Middle School was a huge step in life,
For it cut my classes into many like a knife.
Life was sometimes very tough,
And my grades sometimes got rough.
I studied Science, I studied English, and I studied Math,
I did my homework, I did well on my tests, and I took an educational path.
My grades and classes attacked me,
Low grades bombed me from all sides into the deep, dark sea.
Then high school came and took a hold of me as I slowly matured,
Responsibility is needed to keep me and my grades reassured.
