A Happy Halloween Event – Jack-O-Lantern Carvin’
There is corner pumpkin patch where I really need to go
To make a monster jack-o-lantern, all snaggly toothed and grinnin’
‘Cause there they grow the fattest, finest pumpkins ‘round about these parts for
The Halloween carvin’ contest, where I have my heart set on that blue ribbon winnin’
I’ll make one eye big and round, the other scary patched
Next, a wide triangle nose and scratchy whiskers on his curvin’ chin
I’ll poke some holes for his straw hair, for of course he must have thatch
And I’ll find a big, black, curvy pipe and put it in his wicked grin
‘Round his hidden throat, a neckercheif, all black squares on red
His neat, green, farmin’ shirt will be so very fat – all stuffed with yellow straw
Sittin’ proud in the front porch rockin’ chair, it’ll be that scarecrow’s head
With stuffed blue jeans tied in dark brown boots – a black cat in his lap
Mine will be the best, those blue ribbon judges ever saw….
