A poem emphasizing the advantages of being unique, merely because you exist.

I may not be rich financially

But my wealth increaes, substantially

I exist, I am alive

And from one day to the next, I survive

My friends may be few

But the ones I have are true

There is family and those who will remember me

Even when I cease to be

My claim to fame

Was not accomplished with my name

It is what I am to others

In a world of status; his, hers, or another’s

My legacy, you see

Was not bought, but free

My claim to fame

Is just being me
