January 30, 2009.
I walked up to the darkened figure resting against the vacant house. How badly I wanted to stroll past him, pretend that he was just another stone on the pathway of life. But this was not something I could simply walk right past. I looked up at his cocaine white face and let those stone cold eyes peer deep into mine. His intentions for tonight, I was not sure. But the fact that he had enough courage, even ignorance, to call me up like this, was astonishing. I despised every inch of his body and every inch of his heart, or lack thereof. Each one of his vile words that night ate my soul and the hot breath that flowed from his mouth burnt my skin in such a way that I could not bear. We bid farewell and I told him to not stop calling me, for he had become the reason I loved losing sleep.
