People from the rural South in the U.S. know that a lot of life takes place on a country porch. Here is a bit of poetry about a person who gets in a little "me" time on a country porch each morning. I hope you enjoy the poem.
The sun sparkling on the dew
And a pleasant gentle breeze
On my country porch alone
A stolen moment of ease
A whiff of honeysuckle
Rides upon the crisp, clean air
And the birds serenade me
As I swing in time from my chair
This time on my country porch
Is the best part of my day
The world’s noise can’t drown my thoughts
Nature soothes my cares away
The view from my country porch
The green grass, trees, and flowers
Will de-stress me through the day
And give peace for many hours
As the world wakes, my time must end
That’s okay, I sigh and smile
I’ll leave my country porch for now
To return in a little while.
