A Poem for Fathers and Daughters.

Who was there to make me laugh?

To hold my hand and guide my path?

My Daddy was.

Who was there to offer wisdom?

Helping me to make the right decision?

Who was there to teach me of love?

To give an example of my Father above?

My Daddy was.

Who was there to steer me clear

of trouble and dangers that were unknowingly near?

Who there to teach me how to smile

even in the midst of a difficult trial?

My Daddy was.

Daddy, you always encouraged me to spread my wings and fly, though you never were too far from my side.

You helped me to become a woman of God

and also gave me my first fishing rod.

You showed me how to stay happy and filled with peace

even when my troubles increase.

I hope that you can see, just how important you are to me.

You will always be my hero, my Daddy, the man who planted my memories with love and laughter,

I will always love you, forever and after.
