My life is very simple
I like it that way
I usually wake up happy
I usually have a good day.

It’s just my cats and myself
They are my children to me
And when I’m home with them
I’m where I’m happiest to be.

Seldom do I go out
I haven’t dated in years
Simply I guess avoiding
Heartache and tears.

I go shopping if I must
Normally if the cat food’s low
But if I don’t have to go out
Believe me I won’t go.

I haven’t shopped for clothes in years
Hand-me-downs are good enough for me
And I Never go shopping just for fun
Home’s just where I would rather be.

At home I can do whatever I want
I can eat all day long or not at all
I can stay up late or go to bed early
If I need a friend I’ll give one a call.

I love making my home cozy and comfy
I love entertaining friends and family
But most of all I just love my cats
Who are the main reason my home is where I want to be.

I love to read and I love to write
I love doing them when I have the urge to
I’ve already had way too many years
Of being told what I can’t or shouldn’t
or even could not do.

I DO go out to family get-togethers
Unless I can have them at my home
I love to visit with my dearest friends
Although I’m happiest here and never alone.

Maybe if I didn’t have my cats and my kittens
I’d live my life a different way
Oh, I don’t know, I think I’d still just stay home
As I’d never have to worry, about a lonely day.

I also love the quiet, very very much
I mean I like music and TV too
But other than the sounds of my keyboard and my kittens playing
I usually have silence the whole day through.

Another thing nice is I really like flowers
I like hearts, clocks and mirrors as well
So I have a lot of those things around my home
And in decorating a room I must admit I quite excel.

My home is also furnished with hand-me-downs
Along with gifts, garage sale and classified ad items, and what-not
Yet my place is always neat, clean, comfy and cozy
As I seem to have a knack for using what I’ve got.

And when friends come by to visit they stay for awhile
They’re not there 5 minutes then ready to go
Most visits are long and wonderful
And often their leaving goes rather slow.

Most family events are normally held at my home
Where we all get to be ‘a family’ again
I love it and I’m honored when I can play host
So I always do if I possibly can.

Plus my youngest sister who lives in PA
Often comes to visit and stays with me
Some times, most times!, we stay up all night
With no one asking ‘how much longer will you be’.

I don’t know I guess I just really love my life
Mostly because I’m home as much as I am
And because of the life that I share with my cats
I guess you could say my life’s a Grand Slam.

I’ve been trying to survive on working from home
With my small unemployment check each week to pull me through
It’s a little bit tough but I don’t really mind
As I love my life yet there’s more I’d like to do.

I want to be financially able to help
Anyone in my life who may ask or need
I want to make lots of money from home
But I don’t want it because of greed.

I would like to own the home I live in
To treat my cats like the royalty they are
Other than that I’d want things the same
Then I’d feel like I was, a shining star.

As I have struggled for a long long time
It breaks my heart to see others do it too
So once and for all I’m going to get on top
So I can be able to give others, a chance to pull through.

I know I will make it
And still live my life this way
As I am happy and my cats need me home
Plus I don’t need much to have a great day.
