Oh Dan the big man... show your face!

Frosty that poem made me cry, not only is it perfectly written it also tells so much of the England we love and that we are going to loose.
Bring back the miners, bring back our industries, just bring England back.
The poem reminded me so much of the film Saturday night , Sunday morning a 1960's film I know you will know, my Dad was init a very small part (lol) he was part of the crowd of men coming out of the Raleigh factory at home time!

I have to agree! This country is losing its own identity. Political correctness drives me mad, and I'm sick and tired of being instructed by Europe. Many people now feel the same, I don't think its a minority either.

Good poem. I would feel the same way if I thought that the England you described still existed - green fields, cobbled streets, and the way of life - but it is only like that in tiny pockets of the country now!

Well said Frosty! I have a feeling all this selling out is going to backfire big time. I suspect we're a couple of the 'silent majority' but there comes a time when you get to your limit and need to explode. I think I'm at the stage where someone's lit the match but it hasn't quite reached my blue touch paper yet.

My dad was there on the beaches at Dunkirk and my partner spent his time serving in the RAF during the Falklands War so bring it on ... I'm ready for war!!!!:-)
