Some people really do have good relationships.

Let the fire burn bright

and keep us together.

Let our love remain strong,

forever and ever.

We exist as one.

Tragedies we face together,

and never run.We are lovers always

forever and a day.

We came, we saw, we conquered.

Our love will remain anchored.

Being next to you is not enough.

I lye here and shiver,

waiting to be touched.

But first you are my friend.

Someone on who I can depend.

That’s how this all began.

An ear for me you would lend.

Make this last forever.

Trials and tribulations we may weather.

I need you so much.

We will love each other

and never let anyone break us up.

Great poem, but “lie” here, is the right word, not lye, that is a caustic substance made from wood ashes. A great web site for anyone who needs help choosing the right word, past or present, etc. is http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com Hope this helps
    It is given with love.

The message is fine but it doesn’t flow quite right to my ear. Maybe is just the way Triond has forced the arrangement.
